Parish Finance Committee

The committee comprises of the parish priest and representatives from the parish community as well as the assistant priest. The parish accountant attends the meetings but is not part of the committee.

The Finance Committee, as in every parish of the Archdiocese of Melbourne, is an advisory body to the Parish Priest who is the sole administrator of the temporal goods of the parish.

The Parish Finance Committee assists the Parish Priest in his task of administering the Parish finances, maintaining the parish properties at Kinglake, Whittlesea, Mernda and Doreen and planning for future capital works of presbytery, parish office and church and raising the necessary funds for same but is not directly involved in the day to day management of the parish finances.

Its duties also encompass assisting the Parish Priest in budget preparation for the coming year; preparation of a financial report to parishioners and the annual financial report to the Archbishop. It also assists in preparing cashflow estimates to provide for future capital works and major maintenance requirements.

The committee consists of Barry Kincade, Tom Joseph, Patrick Boulous, Robert Williams (Stewardship) and Liz Blake as well as Jai Kumar.
