Parish Social and Fundraising Committee

The Parish Social and Fundraising Committee conducts social events for the Parish for the purpose firstly of developing a strong community identity across our centres and schools, and at the same time to raise money for the Parish.

The Committee comprises Liz Williams, Liz Blake, Margaret Stanford, Candice Goulding, Linda Fox, Biju Kalathil, Anthony Fernando, John Ferwerda, Lesina Thomsen and Bill Frilay (Acting Chair).

In recent years the major event was the successful Parish Fete in October 2019. Covid has effectively largely curtailed activities over the past 15 months. However we did have a successful Bunnings Sausage Sizzle in April 2021. Apart from raising some money for the parish, this was an effort to go outward to the community at large.

Update on Bunnings Sausage Sizzle and Bishop Martin Farewell (20 August 2021): 

The current lockdown has meant the cancellation of our Sausage Sizzle scheduled for 28 August. However, Bunnings have kindly given us another date, Sunday 28 November and we hope to have it then. If you would like to assist us with this event, please call Bill Frilay on 0410 479 257.

The prolonged lockdown also further delays our farewell for our friend Bishop Martin. We cannot have it until we are permitted to have all of you who have booked for this - it may mean late September or October. Bishop Martin has said not to worry - he will come back for it when we can hold it
