This year has been a particularly difficult year, regarding the celebration of the Sacraments within our Parish community. This has affected our children and their families in their faith journey. However, we have now been given the opportunity to at least celebrate one of those Sacraments in this latter part of 2020.
All candidates will be confirmed by Fr Martin Ashe, who has been delegated by the Archbishop to confirm the candidates. As we are still under Covid 19 restrictions adjustments have needed to be made to the way we celebrate the sacrament. It is still with great joy that we have been presented with this opportunity to confirm our children.
Following are the Sacrament of Confirmation 2020 dates in our parish:
- Candidates from St Joseph's, Mernda will be confirmed on Tuesday 24th November
- Candidates from St Paul the Apostle will be confirmed on Tuesday 1st December
- Candidates from the Parish Catechetical Program will be confirmed on Saturday 5th December at the Nazareth Centre, Mernda
- Candidates from St Mary's, Whittlesea will be confirmed on Wednesday 9th December.
