Join Opening Mass and Daily Sessions of Plenary Council

The First Assembly of the 5th Plenary Council - a significant gathering of Bishops, priests and lay faithful - of Australia begins Sunday 3 October via a mix of in-person and online delivery.

The first Plenary Council was held in 1885 and the most recent one was in 1937. 

Archbishop Tim Costello SDB, President of the Fifth Plenary Council of Australia, will officiate at the Opening Mass of the Plenary Council to be celebrated at St Mary’s Cathedral, Perth at 2pm AEDT. The fact that Plenary Council of Australia is an event for the whole Church, parts of the first general assembly will be livestreamed each day.
