‘But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” Mt19:14.
Commencing in May, children in our 3 Catholic Schools together with those in our Catechetical Program began preparing for the Sacrament of Eucharist. During this time the children have been encouraged to take up an “Invitation to Prayer”. Much conversation was held on the topic Praying and Creating a Space for Prayer in the children’s homes to give opportunity for they and their families to experience prayer and to encounter the presence of God. As we are all reminded of the life giving presence of Jesus shared with us in and through the Eucharist, may we take this opportunity to rekindle our prayer life and make time to be still with our God.
